AGE LIMITSFor Janteloppet 20 KM: 15+, however if a parent is participating in the race there is no age limit. You are also welcomed to use a pulk, and make it fun for the little ones! For Janteburn: 18+ For Afterburn: 20+

LOCATIONRaces: Both the Janteloppet 20 km and Janteloppet Grand Prize Race (Pro-Race) 40 km will start and finish at Mosetertoppen Ski Stadium. 📍Mosetertoppen Skistadion Parties: Both Janteburn (After Ski Party) and Afterburn (After Party) will be hosted at Gaiastova 📍 Gaiastova Expo: During the races, 📍Mosetertoppen Skistadion will host the Janteloppet Expo. Here you will find our partners showcasing their latest products and services. You will also be able to enjoy a wide variety of foods and beverages.

TRANSPORTATIONDriving There is ample free car parking space in and around Mosetertoppen Skistadion and around Hafjell Gondoltoppen. Train The closest train station is 🚊Lillehammer Train Station (📍Google maps link) The regional train service between Oslo and Lillehammer offers 12 –18 daily departures, and 2 – 6 daily departures northbound in Gudbrandsdalen – towards Åndalsnes and Trondheim. You can view time table and book your journey VY (link to VY website) To get to Mosetertoppen Ski Stadium and Hafjell Gondoltoppen, we sugget to use the Gondol service that takes you from Lillehammer train station right to the event location. Check the following linl for more info regarding the gondol. (link to Hafjell Resort) Bus There are numerous bus routes, you can plan your bus journey thorough VY (link to VY website).

SKI LICENSEA ski license is NOT included in Janteloppet tickets. It is the participant's (guardian's) own responsibility to have a ski license. Clubs must check that everyone has a ski license when registering for the race. Everyone aged 13-69 (aged 70-79 is voluntary to obtain a license) and is a member of Norwegian National Insurance must obtain a ski license. The ski license includes a separate sports insurance. Foreign participants who are not members of Norwegian Social Security must accept the Athletes Declaration when they collect their start number. Up to 12 year old All children are insured through sports insurance for children until the date they turn 13. Year-round ski license If you have a year-round ski license, you will NOT need to purchase a separate ski license for Janteloppet. Where do you buy a one-time license? RULESThe Norwegian Ski Federations rules and regulations for cross-country competitions apply throughout Janteloppet. Littering along the course is not allowed. Please bring your own litter to the nearest food station or use the drop zones along the course. If the jury decides that the weather conditions makes the race too dangerous to attend, Janteloppet holds the right to cancel or postpone the event at short notice.

SEEDINGAll participants in the 40 K Janteloppet Grand Prize race must have a FIS number. Participants will be seeded based on their FIS Distance Points as published on the FIS official website on the 10th of April 2025. Janteloppet reserves the right to award a limited number of wild cards.

AWARD CEREMONYThe award ceremony will be held on the same day as the event. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in both the men's and women's races. Additionally, the overall winners of the men's and women's races will receive the prestigious Janteloppet Grand Prize 2025 torch. Prize money will be distributed to the top 20 positions and to athletes who record the fastest times at designated sprint checkpoints in both races.

PRIZE MONEYThe final prize pot for the Janteloppet Grand Prize will be announced on 1 October 2024, with a guaranteed minimum of NOK 1 million. The prize money percentage split shall be as follows: As such, the top 20 positions in the men's and women's races will be allocated 88% of the prize pool. The remaining 12% of the prize pool will be allocated to the best sprinters as follows:
